Terms and Conditions
The following paragraphs contain the general terms and conditions under which College Storage Group (“CSG”) is engaged in the movement, transportation, storage of personal items including, but not limited to, packages, within the United States alone or jointly through interchange with its affiliates. College Storage Group reserves the right to amend any portion of this service explanation at any time.
College Storage Group offers services that includes: the storage of a customer’s possessions at a storage facility owned, operated, or rented by College Storage Group. Each customer shall label each box and/or item at time of pickup. Identification labels can be printed once the customer is paid and their account is verified. Additionally, College Storage Group transport goods to storage units and will store the students’ items until the duration of the summer/study aboard session (4 months) or customer requests delivery of their items.
College Storage Group offers free, pre-scheduled pickup dates based on the university. If the free pickups available do not work for a student, then a special pickup can be scheduled for an additional fee. The price of special deliveries is subject to change. Special pickups and deliveries must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Customer agrees to be present to release their goods at the specified pickup/drop-off date, time, and location. If customer is not available, he or she must give written consent for friend to release the goods on the customer’s behalf. The Customer to College Storage Group must communicate changes to the previously scheduled pickup/drop-off dates or location at least 48 hours prior to the existing time.
In the event that the Customer is not present for the Customer’s scheduled pickup date and time, College Storage Group representatives attempt to contact the student before returning back to the storage location and the Customer will have to reschedule the pickup. If this happens, the Customer will be responsible for paying a special pickup fee and/or a missed pickup fee. Failure to be present for a drop off or pick up time will result in a penalty fee.
College Storage Group offers free, on-campus delivery on pre-scheduled dates that coincide with a majority of student’s move-in at the beginning of semesters/quarters. If there are no free deliveries scheduled or the free deliveries available do not work for a student, then a special delivery can be scheduled for an additional fee. Special deliveries must be scheduled at least 48 in advance. Customer agrees to be present to release their goods at the specified delivery/drop-off date, time, and location. If customer is not available, he or she must provide written consent to release the goods on the customer’s behalf.

MOVING OFF CAMPUS
Customers moving off campus qualify for free delivery within a 10-mile radius; otherwise, they are subject to a special delivery charge. Special deliveries must be scheduled 48 hours in advance.
ACCESS TO STORED ITEMS
Students may not have access to our private facilities but can request their belongings while in storage. Please contact us to arrange a time.
Supply kits are provided free with the purchase of each storage package. Every College Storage Group Supply Kit includes double walled 4.5 cubic foot cardboard boxes measuring (18x18x24), 1 roll of packing tape, and printable identification labels. Each supply kit will be delivered to the customer residence on a pre-selected date and time window. If this does not work for the customer, he or she should call us or email us 48 hours in advance.
CSG SERVICE GUARANTEE
The Customer recognizes that College Storage Group will not be held liable for damage to the Customer’s belongings after delivery has occurred. The Customer recognizes that only loss or damage caused by the negligence of College Storage Group will be covered by the declared value policy, as described in these Terms and Conditions.
Each Customer will be given a maximum window of six hours during which pickup or delivery will occur. Guarantee is subject to and not limited to the conditions below:
The Customer was present in the Customer’s residence throughout the ENTIRE applicable time window.
In the case of pickup, the Customer has all packages packed, labeled, and prepared for pickup prior to College Storage Group arrival.
In the case of the delivery of stored goods, the Customer has correctly labeled each of the Customer’s packages.
College Storage Group is notified in writing or by telephone of a service failure within seven calendar days from the date of the scheduled pickup or delivery.
The guarantee does not apply if the failure to perform within the pickup or delivery window is due to causes beyond College Storage Group control including, but not limited to, the following: the unavailability or refusal of a person to accept delivery of the stored items; public authorities acting with actual or apparent authority on the premises; acts or omissions of police or similar authorities; riots, strikes, or other labor disputes; civil commotions; disruptions in ground transportation networks, such as weather phenomena; and natural disasters.
RESTRICTIONS ON SERVICE
College Storage Group provides storage services subject to a number of restrictions. The Customer accepts full responsibility and liability for any damages or losses that result from the Customer’s failure to adhere to these service restrictions. No storage service shall be rendered:
In the case of articles of unusual value, or of single packages having a value of more than $1,000 (U.S).
For items containing valuables such as jewelry and collectibles.
For hazardous materials and firearms.
For any perishable items.
For any items that are prohibited by law or regulations of any federal, state, or local government in the U.S.
Customer acknowledges that the Customer is liable for any damage that the Customer’s storage contents may inflict on the property of others.
College Storage Group reserves the right to refuse any package that by reason of the dangerous or other character of its content, is liable, in the judgment of College Storage Group, to soil, taint, or otherwise damage other merchandise or equipment, or that is economically or operationally impractical to transport, or that is improperly packed or wrapped.
PAYMENT FOR SERVICES
The Customer agrees to pay the total cost of the services provided by College Storage Group based on the number and type of items tendered to College Storage Group at the time of pickup/drop-off. If customer presents boxes or a la cart items at time of pickup which were not prepaid, additional fees will apply and will be charged upon receipt at the storage facility.
The Customer agrees to enter a valid credit or debit card at checkout to ensure proper credit for billing purposes. The customer can select a 4-month installment plan but recognizes that a 8% fee will incur. The customer also recognizes and accepts that the card will be billed month if she or he wishes to choose a monthly plan.
All charges for services are due and payable prior to the pickup/drop-off of the Customer’s possessions. The Customer hereby authorizes College Storage Group to charge the Customer-provided credit card or bank account for the balance owing for services rendered and any additional fees.
Checks or cash are not accepted.
The Customer acknowledges that the Customer remains indebted to College Storage Group for any balance owed on the Customer’s account as a result of invalid credit or debit card information. If the Customer has failed to pay the charges for the services or any additional fees prior to the date of scheduled delivery of stored packages, College Storage Group reserves the right to hold the Customer’s possessions until payment has been received in full. If a payment failed, College Storage Group will notify the customer and give them 7 days to restore their account. If not, a late fee will be accessed.
Our Right to Access Boxes
We may open any of your boxes without providing you with any prior notice in cases of emergency, which would include, but is not limited to, situations when, in our discretion, we need to: (i) make any repairs to the box or replace the box (however we are not obligated to repair or replace any boxes); (ii) locate and remove any property which appears to be seeping out of the box, or which appears to be emitting fumes or odors from the box, or which appears to be harming or endangering any other box or the property of any others; (iii) enforce the terms of this Agreement, including all our rights and remedies; (iv) open the box for security reasons generally; or (v) comply with any Court Order or applicable law or regulation. At all other times, we will provide you with reasonable notice prior to opening a box containing your belongings.
IKEA CLAUSE: WE WILL NOT INSURE ANY IKEA FURNITURE AT ANYTIME.
College Storage Group does not insure against any damage to: intellectual property (e.g., computer files), heirlooms, extremely fragile items, improperly packed items, concealed damages, or minor damage due to normal handling (e.g., scratches, nicks, etc.), or damages due to natural disasters, damage occurring while not in the possession of College Storage Group, or any damage occurring without evidence of physical damage to the exterior of the box.
College Storage Group has the right to charge for the following:
- Boxes that are overweight. The box restriction is 50LBS.
- Unlabeled Boxes/Items
- Delivery Fee for unidentified items
- Dorm Relocation (under special circumstances)
- Missed Appointment/Late Pickup
DECLARED VALUE – COVERAGE AVAILABLE
College Storage Group automatically protects each package and/or item against loss or damage up to a value of $100. Customer may opt to purchase additional declared value at time of checkout. If no additional protection is purchased the Customer agrees that the released value of each package is no greater than $100.

Content protection includes protection of your items against fire, smoke damage, lightning, explosion, earthquake, windstorm, hurricane, tornado, water damage (excluding flood), hail, theft accompanied by forcible and violent entry or exit, riot, strike, civil commotion, malicious damage, vandalism, subsidence, building collapse, sinkhole collapse, falling objects, weight of snow, ice or sleet, impact by vehicles or aircraft. Moth, insect, rodent or vermin damage.
The Owner will not pay for loss of or damage to goods that are in transit, in the open and not in a locked fully enclosed storage space; accounts, bills, currency, deeds, evidence of debt, securities, money, or notes; any goods you are not permitted to store under the terms of the Rental Agreement; jewelry, watches, precious or semi-precious stones and stamps (exceeding $500 combined total); furs, antiques, works of art, mobile phones, perfumery, wines, cigars.
Losses Not Covered Under Content Protection:
a) Loss or damage to Tenant’s stored goods caused by flood surface water, underground water, storm, surge, waves, tidal water or overflow from any body of water, water that backs up through or overflows from a sewer drain or sump; mold, mildew, or wet or dry rot.
b) Terrorist attack, war or military action.
c) Loss or damage resulting from unknown or mysterious causes.
d) Consequential loss of any kind or description.
e) Nuclear reaction, radiation or radioactive, biological or chemical contamination.
f) Moths, insects, rodents or vermin damage (covered up to $500).
g) Loss of data records other than the cost of blank data carrying materials.
The customer will have until the start of its university first day of classes to receive their storage items. If customer fails to receive their storage items before this time, he or she will be charged a $50 weekly storage fee. If storage fee is not paid and two consecutives monthly and/or weekly payments are missed as agreed upon by College Storage Group and the customer, a lien will be placed on the items and it would be put for auction. Additional charges may apply.
In the case of damage to stored packages, any damaged cartons must be inspected in the presence of a College Storage Group representative at the time of delivery. All damaged boxes must be opened at the time of delivery, and documented by a College Storage Group representative. For lost items, the Customer must notify the College Storage Group representative of missing items at the time of delivery of the other packages and sign the delivery receipt amended for the lost package.
Claims for loss of, or damage to, the Customer’s property must be filed with College Storage Group by requesting a claims form. Claims shall be deemed waived if not filed within 10 days following delivery of the damaged package or, in the case of a lost item, within 10 days following the scheduled delivery of the missing item. Upon receipt of a completed Claim Form and all required documentation, College Storage Group will process the claim and issue a formal reply to the Customer within 30 days of receipt.
